Who we are
LPC Tax is owned and operated by Joe Collett, CPA (License #137990, LinkedIn). Joe graduated from UC Davis in 2012 with a B.S. of Managerial Economics and has a diverse background beyond tax, including teaching English abroad, commercial lending, and corporate accounting. Prior to starting his own practice, he was a manager for a top-10 national public accounting firm.
Joe started LPC Tax so that he could provide a greater value of service, that focuses on putting the client first. Each part of our process is designed with intention, creating a smoother, more proactive, and more consistent experience.
Where we are located
LPC Tax is a virtual firm based in Silicon Valley, California. In-person meetings can be arranged in the Silicon Valley area by request.
How we give back
We donate 5% of our revenues to GiveDirectly. GiveDirectly is a nonprofit that provides unconditional cash transfers to some of the world's poorest people. Recipients often spend grants on medicine, livestock, school fees, water, solar lights, irrigation, businesses to generate income, and more.
We are also proud to support measures that make filing taxes easier and less costly, such as:
- The IRS developing a modern free filing tool jointly with California and other states.
- Alternate pathways to CPA licensure, to make the profession more open and competitive.
